Version 1.0.8 (2026-11-04 14:35:58)

    Trailing spaces have been removed.
    "\t" changed to " ".
    Wrong line intenting has been fixed.
    The "been clean up" spell mistake in the release notes has been corrected to "been cleaned up".
    "doesn\'t exists" changed to "doesn't exist".
    Some minor spell mistakes in comments have been fixed.
    The LINUX_OPEN_XTERM_TERMINAL_FULL_COMMAND constant has been created.
    A error dialog box is now shown if launch of the application (after installation) fails (exit code != 0).
    The error dialog box shown if the install fails, has been added the exit code from the installer.
    "exit value" changed to "exit code".

    The "autoDeleteFileName" log message and the "Deleting lock file" log messages have been slightly changed.
    The error message shown to the user, if the installation fails with no error message, has been slightly changed.
    The field "installationData.canBeLaunchWithoutParameters" has been removed.
        The Package Desktop property "LaunchAfterInstall" will now control whether or not to show the launch menu.
    The PackageDesktopConstants.DEFAULT_JARS_PATH is now used instead of a hard coded string.
    The installationPath (FileUtil.getInstallationPath() + moduleName) is added as prefix to the mainJarFileNameWithPathPrefix if it is set.

    Dependency of AR Common version 1.1.5 has been removed.
    The InstallationData.consoleOnly field has been replaced by the InstallationData.applicationType field.
    The DateUtil class from The AR Common project is now included in the output of this project.
    The description of the ABT property "Package.Desktop.InstallerCompiledOutput" has been changed to "Package.Desktop.CompiledInstallerPath" on the download site, as it is changed in the ABT project.
    The JFrame.setDefaultCloseOperation(WindowConstants.EXIT_ON_CLOSE) was not set, causing the installer to keep running, if the close X was used. This has been fixed.
    The "Package.DownloadSite.CreateVersionFile" and "Package.DownloadSite.CreateDownloadSiteNameFile" are now set to false.

    Changed from using AR Common version 1.1.4 to version 1.1.5. See release notes for AR Common for details.
    The download site has been updated.
    The LockFileName parameter has added, and can be used to wait for the application to upgrade to stop.
    If the installation fails and the AutoInstall parameter is used the error message will now be shown in 25 seconds in stead of 15.
    If the cancel button has been used the installation could not be started again. This has been fixed.
    "while(" changed to "while (".
    If the printResultIfInteresting() method in the AbstractUpdateHandler class (More accurately waitForResult()) was called shortly after a call of the checkForUpdatesInTUIApplicationInTheBackgroundDelayed() method in the AbtUpdateChecker class, a NullPointerException was thrown (Race condition). This has been fixed.
    If the xterm command is not available ("/usr/bin/xterm" doesn't exist) on Linux, the application was launch with sudo. This has been fixed. When installing the sudo command will still be used.
    If the InstallationData.launchAfterInstallation field was set to false, the application could still be launch using the launch menu. This has been fixed by added the InstallationData.canBeLaunchWithoutParameters field, which controls whether the application can be launch using the launch menu. It is default set to true.

    Changed from using AR Common version 1.1.3 to version 1.1.4. See release notes for AR Common for details.
    The AbtInstaller class has been changed to use StringBuilder instead of StringBuffer internally.
    The ReflectionUtil class is now included in the build to be able to remove the "WARNING: An illegal reflective access operation has occurred" warning using the GUIUtil.setLinuxApplicationName().
    The release notes file renamed from "ABT Installer Release Notes.txt" to "ABT - Installer Release notes.txt".
    Changed to use the ABT download site and release notes feature. The release notes has been cleaned up and the "ABT - Installer Download site.html" file has been created in the process.
    The "compiled for..." text in the about box has been changed to "Compiled for installing...".
    The ProgressJDialog dialog has been replace by using the SimpleProgressJDialog to avoid a two copies of very similar code.
    The unused download code and fields, and uncommented update checker code have been removed.
    The "The application will now be launched" message will now indicate, that this message will only be shown for 5 seconds, if the AutoInstall command line parameter was used.
    The InstallationData.compiledBy field has been added, and it is shown in the about dialog if it not empty.
    The search for currently installed jars to find currently installed version, has been changed to use the regular expression pattern jarFileName + "[1-9].*", to match the correct one of two jar files with same names prefix, but different length (for example abt-1.0.15.94.jar and abt---update-checker-1.0.0.71.jar).

Version 1.0.3 (2021-08-18)

    Changed from using AR Common version 1.1.1 to version 1.1.3. See release notes for AR Common for details.
    The FileUtil.getWritable() was broken on Windows. See AR Common Release Notes.txt for details. This broke the "Install" button on Windows. This has been fixed.
    If the parameter "AutoInstall" is used and the installation fails, exit code 1 is now returned. If the installation is canceled, exit code 2 is now returned.
    The description text area has been changed to be setWrapStyleWord(true) and setLineWrap(true) to avoid vertical scroll bar for "Install ABT - Test - 4 version 1.0.0.1080 on this machine".
    The menus have been rearranged.
    An about box has been added.
    The ABT Installer version has been moved from the default title to the about box.
    The application name is now set to installationData.title on Linux.
    The spelling of "cancelled" has been changed to "canceled".
